I grew up on Merseyside and am based in Bolton, Lancashire. My first proper job was in the RAF, but left after four years to sample the delights of civvy life. Eventually, I discovered photography and returned to school, gaining a BA(Hons) in Photography and Video and an MA in International Photojournalism, Documentary and Travel Photography.

I have worked as a freelance photographer for the Southport Visiter, Liverpool Echo and music and lifestyle magazines. I currently work for the Bolton News and lecture at Bolton Community College.
